Submitted By Aaron Walsh on Monday, September 17, 2018
Jr. Cougars 2005 Tier 2 White (coached by Agost Lourenco) won the St. Catharines Early Bird Tournament this past weekend.

The Jr. Cougars came out with all cylinders firing this past weekend as they claimed the Championship in Garden City, with an impressive 5-0-1 record!

Friday saw victories against Brampton (4-2) and Glanbrook (4-3). Saturday started with a tie against Guelph (1-1) and then victory against Milton (7-2) which enabled the Cougars to claim first place in Pool B and a date with Sarnia in the Semi-Finals.

Sunday's Semi final saw a 6-2 victory against Sarnia, creating a rematch against Guelph in the Finals. The game was well-played by both sides, but in the end the Cougars outscored Guelph 4-2, claiming the Championship.

Congratulations to all the players and coaching staff on the victory!
