PRESS RELEASE - Rebranding in 2020
Submitted By Aaron Walsh on Friday, November 15, 2019
StoneRidge Sports and Entertainment will be undergoing a complete brand and business image transformation, as of January 1, 2020. StoneRidge Sports and Entertainment will rebrand to Raiders Sports and Entertainment. The Burlington Jr. Cougars youth hockey programs will rebrand to Raiders Hockey Club, in line with the Georgetown Raiders, the top of our youth hockey development pathway.

The transition from the Burlington Jr. Cougars to the Raiders Hockey Club will create a direct pathway from our youngest athletes at the Learn to Skate level to Provincial Junior A Hockey.

The Raiders Hockey Club will be unveiling a new brand and logo, along with home and road jerseys heading into the 2020/2021 season.

Youth Hockey President Alex Bezerra outlines a long-term vision for the organization, focusing on three main stakeholders: the Alliance Hockey youth organization, the Burlington community and most importantly, the young athletes involved in youth hockey. That vision is for the Raiders Hockey Club to be a world-class organization that unifies fun, development and winning, while increasing hockey registrations and involvement of the youth in Burlington.

A formal press conference and uniform unveiling will be announced involving current players of all ages.

For the remainder of the 2019/2020 season, the youth organization will operate as the Burlington Jr. Cougars and will continue to wear the current logo and jerseys through the end of the 2019/2020 season; although the new logo and branding will begin to have a presence immediately in and around the StoneRidge Ice Centre and Wave Sports Facilities. Please stay tuned to www.raidershockeyclub.com, www.jrcougarshockey.ca and our social media pages for updates on 2020/2021 Program Offerings, Coaches Applications, Tryouts and new hockey community initiatives.
