Hockey Fights Cancer in Burlington!
The Atom Blackhawks are bringing their Pink to the Rink this October in support of Breast Cancer and the Canadian Cancer Society.

The Atom Blackhawks have brought the Pink to the Rink! Led by Head Coach Steve Jones, the Blackhawks are bringing their competitive spirit to the ice by wearing Pink ribbons on their jerseys in support of Breast Cancer and the Canadian Cancer Society throughout the month of October.

Our entire Original Six community supports the Hockey Fights Cancer initiative and encourages all teams to rally behind the cause. The next event we are encouraging our Original Six community to help support is at the next Burlington Cougars Jr. A game against the Brampton Admirals this Friday, October 26 at Appleby Arena. This game is the Cougars’ Pink in the Rink game in support of the Canadian Cancer Society.

Breast cancer awareness is a very important cause for our Original Six family. The statistics show that one in nine Canadian women will develop breast cancer, and we have seen that impact on our fans, mothers, sisters, and daughters. We are banding together as a hockey community to inspire hope and courage for those who are living with and moving past cancer.
